Why We’re Here
Human First exists because most of the problems we face at work and at home come from the same place: we don’t like ourselves enough, so we protect ourselves in ways that hurt others. Leaders micromanage because they don’t trust. Teams get toxic because people are playing out old wounds. Families repeat patterns that keep everyone stuck.
We’re here to change that.
We help people like themselves better so they can show up in their full power: with grounded confidence instead of posturing and compassion instead of shame. We’re not gurus or experts in psychology, we’re just humans practicing out in the open: owning mistakes, sharing tools, and figuring it out together.
What We Believe
We’re all human first.
Most dysfunction is just self-protection gone sideways. When you understand why you act the way you do, you can shift without excusing harm.
Liking yourself is a skill. You don’t “arrive” at it, you practice it daily.
Mistakes don’t make you a bad person. Owning them costs you nothing, and it makes you and your relationships stronger.
Boundaries and compassion aren’t opposites; you can have both at the same time.
Pedestals and perfection have no place in an authentic life. We’d rather see people practicing than performing.
